After a convincing 3-0 victory in matchweek 10 of the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Saturday, FC Goa ended their losing run and ended Odisha FC’s winning streak.
In the 74th minute, substitute Brison Fernandes scored the game’s first goal with his first touch, and the Gaurs went on to win three points thanks to goals from Noah Sadaoui and Alvaro Vazquez.
The Juggernauts were reduced to ten men five minutes after the hour mark following a challenge by Nandhakumar Sekar on Princeton Rebello that resulted in him receiving a second yellow.
FC Goa extended their lead thanks to Sadaoui four minutes later. Vazquez attempted to score but his shot hit the crossbar after Seriton delivered another exquisite cross.
Amrinder could only get Sadaoui on the rebound far enough for him to finish forcefully. Sadaoui assisted Vazquez in scoring the game-winning goal in the waning seconds.
